Doing a tribute sweater for one of my favorite books, Elizabeth Wein’s Rose Under Fire. One of the yarns I’m using is called Hare Heather, which in the context of the story is almost tear-inducing.

11-14-14: Front and back are done! Cast on for the sleeves. I’m liking the pattern a lot. I’m using # of stitches for the medium size, but knitting to the length of the small size. Hopefully that works out for me.

12-19-14: All done except for weaving in the ends. Of course, with 16 colorwork roses in three colors, this is not an insignificant job! I tried on the sweater and my adaptation of the medium size seems to fit perfectly and all the stripes are matched up. Hurrah!

12-31-14: Used my New Year’s Eve day off to weave in the rest of the ends. There were many of them, but it is finished and I’m very happy!
