I have so much yarn left over from Magnolia I, so I will knit a second Magnolia. The first Magnolia I knit, was too wide in the shoulders, so I passed it on to my lovely daughter in law, ( Yarnstylist). It fit her perfectly and she was delighted, beeing such a great fan of Marie Wallin.
This time, I will knit it from the bottom up. I will do seams and no ribbing.
I have knitted my Magnolia II past the arm scythe and will knit set in sleeves. I am using a front and neck steek and steeks for the sleeves. Knitting Fair Isle from the back is just too much of a slouch for me! I will continue with the main pattern up to the shoulders.
I knitted the sleeves top down with different patterns taken from the design. Iused a slightly warmer color for the neckband.
I had to order 3 more skeins of yarn, as needed for color, but still have lots of yarn left over.
I am very happy how it turned out, the fit is perfect.
