Notes

In progress pics at bottom, middle pics just off loom and top 4 are after washing and finishing.

Rigid Heddle classa at Mid Ohio Fiber Fest. Some kind of slubby cotton flake yarn. Probably unmercerized.

I used the 6 dent heddle about 54 ends with about a 2 1/2 yard warp. It was 7 in width and 64 inches in length off the loom (not incl fringe). Shrunk to 6 inches in witdh and 58 inches after wet finishing.

Had about 12 inches of waste after cutting off fringe to proper length.

Teacher was 1/2 late for class and didn’t even explain well how to warp the loom. I taught my friend how to direct warp hers as I warped mine and we were weaving before the student she was teaching to use a warping board got anywhere near done. I think I could have taught it better. Most of the class didn’t really learn anything since she handed them prewarped looms. Warping is the hardest part. I like the yarn she gave me to use though. It was very open on the loom and looked pretty then, but closed up well and looked even better when washed and finished. This was the 3rd item I have woven.
