February 1, 2020: Finally decided to frog it. I’ll find a different pattern to use up the yarn.

08/14/09: I decided to knit all the flat pieces first, starting with the left front. I had knit one cuff and about 1 inch of a sleeve, but I unravelled that. I’m not sure I like how the cuffs are done and would like more time to investigate what others have done.

06/29/11: Decided to dig this out and start working on it again. I had to frog everything last time, which was ok because I didn’t get very far on it. Starting with the left front and so far so good.

07/02/11: Finished left front, started right front.

07/12/11: Finished right front, starting on back panel.

07/18/11: Half way through back panel, on chart #2.

07/24/11: Finished the back and hope it all works out. I had to frog a few times because my stitch count was off. In the end I still ended up with 27 stitches instead of 26 for the last row. I think I will block the pieces I have and then work on the sleeves. I want to do a mod for the cuffs but I’m not sure yet.

Might do the celtic vine chart that a lot of people have used (example). Also found embossed vines and leaves from Vogue Knitting that I really like. I’ve uploaded pics of each so you can see.

07/30/11: Finished one cuff with the celtic vine, made mine less long than others did. I am going to knit the 2nd cuff before picking up and knitting for the sleeves.

01/08/11: Both cuffs finished and I started on the left sleeve. I started the increases at 9.5” instead of 11” as the pattern suggests, and increasing every 7th row instead of every 6th row.

04/08/11: The seed stitch part of the sleeve measures 13”, 21” including the cuff.

10/11/11: Picked this up again to try and finish it this fall. I had to pack it away when I moved so now I’m just continuing to work on sleeve #2.

07/20/14: Seed stitch for sleeve, 6 rows, or 1.5” before increases start.
