First project from the FIFC club. I’m so happy with the pattern. I decided to go with the choose your own adventure option, and I’m opting for local vendors for my yarn choices. I picked this cone up at The Bobbin Tree a local fibreshop, that sells fibre, looms, weaving and knitting supplies.
This stunning yarn is a fine laceweight 2ply with a nice bounce. It’s so soft and the sheen is what drew me to it.
I’m on repeat three of the set up, and so far aside from a couple of hiccups, I’m doing well.
My gauge for this project is still unknown I’ll know more when I block the swatch, but I intend or at least have planned to use the entire cone for the project. I want this thing to be huge. :D
Updates to follow!

Friday night I finished the set up charts and tried to muscle my way through the edging. It didn’t work out so well. I couldn’t make heads or tails of it so I put the needles away and went to bed. In the morning, I woke and breezed through the edging, and made my way to picking up my stitches.
I’m ten rows into chart A. I plan on making the large but I have noticed that over all it’s not going to increased in inches so much as in stitches, so it’s an interesting pattern.

I hope so say by the end of today I’ll have chart A completed, we shall see!
January 2013
So I completed up Chart A, went on to chart B and got completely lost, kept dropping stitches and just generally losing my stitch count. I got so fed up with it I have since frogged this piece and will attempt to knit something else with the yarn. Later when I’ve had time to really settle down I think I might knit this again, but it won’t be for a while yet.
