I used the first verse of the One Ring Chart, then the Norway Pine hat, but with 145 stitches.

Mods to One Ring Chart: I had to shorten the chart by a few rows to make it fit as a hat brim. I removed a few rows from the top and the bottom, resulting in slightly shorter ascenders and descenders, so the script is not as elegant as in the original One Ring Scarf

Inner band in 3.5mm, orange cash/cotton + 3 strands of cobweb cash/silk light peach, with provisional crochet cast-on.
Knitted to match the total rows of my shorter ring chart, then 1 row purl (folding line) and changed to 2 strands of merino/alpaca as mc for colourwork chart.
After the chart, folded inner band and knitted together with live stitches from cast-on edge.
Then changed to 3 strands of merino/alpaca and 4mm for cable pattern. Cable a bit different than Norway Pine hat.

My son is a big tall lad with a very big head… I had to unravel and lengthen the hat twice before getting it deep enough - about 63 in cumference, 28cm edge to top.
