I’m not specially fond of big collars, so I have decided to knit it at the end, to have control both on the size and on the amount of yarn it eats up! Also, I’m not sure of the size I have chosen (mood: anxious), maybe it is to small for me, but I’m so tired of clothes than don’t fit properly :-)

So, I have made a provisional crochet cast on right after the collar.

I’ve been to the LYS and right now they don’t have this colourway. Most other LYS’s in town are closed for holidays (mood: panicking)

I tried it on after the waist decreases and it fits (mood: happy).

I went to the LYS once again and there it was (and on sale!). After knitting some swatches I can see no difference between the two dyelots (mood: 2x happy).

One of the balls I bought had shredded portions; two of them were pretty bad, I had to cut them apart (mood: angry).

All in all, it’s going well and growing very fast (mood: happy no matter what).

After holidays I picked up the first sleeve’s stitches and knitted up to the elbow. It was terribly tight, so I had to rip it (mood grr).

I had 50 live stitches to pick up (due to bigger gauge), so I decided to add 7 instead of the 4 requested by the pattern. While knitting I decreased 5 times (rows 13, 27, 37, 49 and 62 of a toal of 68 rows of st st). This improvised sleeve is the best fitting one I’ve ever had (mood: delighted).

I’m flirting with the idea of making a hood (mood: playful).

The second sleeve has been much quicker (mood: relieved).

I finally changed my mind and decided to go along wth the collar but, instead of 5”, mine is only 3”.

I couldn’t be happier with this cardigan (mood: in love).
