3 July - Finished! I managed to do the pattern exactly as written (7.5 increase sections, 13 straight repeats) with one skein of yarn. My tension was 22 sts/4” over the st st section before I dropped the stitches. I have a very small ball of yarn left! There was a lot of knitting faster going on towards the end ;) I had 236g in my skein, and have about 5g left.

1 July - I can’t get the sparkle to show on the photos :( But it’s there all right, and very pretty. I’m racing through this in front of the tennis, I’ve done eight straight repeats so far.

28 June - I couldn’t resist the shiny sparkly yarn! It just said Clapotis to me :) The shiny bits aren’t photographing very well, but they’re there alright. I’m knitting this whilst watching Wimbledon, it always seems appropriate to knit something purple and green at this time of year!

The yarn’s a bit splitty, but otherwise lovely to work with, I think it’ll have a nice drape. It was hard to wind though, the skein was in a mess despite being tied in at least five places, and it kept slipping off the ball winder. I had to wind it twice to get it sorted, now I’m knitting from the outside of the ball, otherwise I think it’d just collapse in on itself in a big knotty mess when I got into the ball.
