22 September - Finished! Modelled by Mollie for now, I’ll try and take some photos of me wearing it soon. I’m very pleased with it, it’s going to be great for winter.

17 September - I ran out of yarn for my Luna Moth shawl, so obviously if I was going to buy more, it made sense to buy enough to make a hat….

The tubular cast on was very fiddly, and at first it seemed to be too tight, but I’ve tried it on several times as the hat has grown, and it does seem to be stretching.

The cables look fantastic, and they feel gorgeous in the cash iroha, but they are quite fiddly to do. I’ve worked out how to do them without a cable needle, but I’m having to concentrate on the doing the row before fairly loosely, so that I can put the right hand needle into the stitches whilst they’re still on the left needle. I need pointier circs!

I’m making the slouchy style, and I’m not far off the crown decreases now.
