My second go at stranded knitting, very clear & easy pattern to follow for the novice fairisle knitter. Looks much harder than it really is. As others may have mentioned, this yarn & this pattern are a match made in knitting heaven, traditional & authentic looking.
Hat grew tremendously with wet blocking, but I threw in dryer, kept opening door to check every few minutes, it reduced down to normal size & by some miracle, fit the giftee.
Used most of the red (poppy) & about .5—.75 skein of Audouin (ecru) I can’t wait to make another for myself.
