I have to look into my stash today to see which yarn I want to use for it. I will be casting on this one this evening. I am so excited! This is a test knit.

So I started with my gauge. The pattern states 3mm needles, but I know I am a tight knitter so I upgraded my needles with 0.5mm. It seems like the 3.5mm needles knit to the mandatory gauge. I started to read the whole pattern too, since this is a test knit.

I will be finishing my gauge swap soon. Then I will block it and see if I get the right gauge.

The gauge was very close, so I didn’t have to change needle size and knit another. Pfieuw. So yay! I have started knitting the sleeves. Around midnight I have finished the second one and I have cast in the stitches for the body.

Started knitting the body and am a bit confused, the ribbing is going to be very short. Have asked a question regarding this. Awaiting answer before continuing with the next section.

Got my answer and I am allowed to extend the ribbing. Will knit it the same length as the ribbing of the sleeves. I used an extra 11 grams of yarn. Just finished the ribbing.

Finished all the “regular” rounds and started the yoke. Am halfway through now. Can’t wait to finish it.

Finished knitting. I didn’t have enough yarn for the button bands so I had to use some other yarn. It is okay to me though. Need to find some off white buttons now.

What did I do differently?
I knit 1.25 inches of ribbing on the body.
I am used to pick up 2 out of 3 stitches for the button bands, so I did it too now. 1 out of 2 really isn’t enough for my tight knitting. I knit 8 rows for the button band. Furthermore I made 4 button holes.
