Even though I have like a gazillion other projects that are unfinished, I just had to start this one.
She is so lovely!
Where I do like the pink and the purple together, I did want to change the collor setting to purplish and aqua-ish.
Currently I have 1 panel finished, as well as the hat, the parasol and the cape. Will have to put up some pictures today.

It seems to me that the parasol is bigger than what I would have expected drom the pattern pictures. But I managed to create it.
Pictures are attached to the project now.
Next I am making the pillow form.

I have made a lot of progress in the evenings but haven’t posted anything here yet.
The hat, parasol and cape were finished quickly. After this I finished the pillow form and all of the roses and the ribbons. The train had taken a lot of my evening time and travel times, and it is done. It only needs the flowers and ribbons attached.
The bustle pad is also done and stuffed.
Currently I am vividly working on the skirt. Just 5 more rows before the hem row. Yay!
There is one thing though. The measurements that are in the pattern. I am apparently a tight crocheter and the lady from Annie’s Attic is well… not a tight crocheter. I am using a 4/0 (2.5 mm) hook to get a similar size as is stated in the pattern.
For the bodice however I am still having issues. It just won’t fit the model. I have created a mock-up to check what I would have to do to make it fit. It seems that when I would add 4 stitches on either side of the back, the bodice would fit all around. I would also have to add a few more stitches for the bust in row 18 and make the armholes a little bigger.
This means that I would have to alter the sleevs and the peplum as well. I will figure that out once I get to them.

I almost forgot to add that I am rerooting a 1980s Barbie as my model had the worst hair ever and the color was not how I wanted the color to be.
Will post pictures on that as well.

Well I am almost done with the project. I only need to do the hair. Need to buy some teeny tiny elastic bands for that.
I used joint double and treble crochet stitches for almost all of the pieces as it gave a more fabric like effect rather than having all those gaps between the stitches. I like the effect!
