A vest made for the Wålstedts Textile Art Competition with the theme “handmade fashion to express the singularity of the self”. I am a forestlover and forestowner, I live my whole life in the middle of a big forest, and then also with bonsai as my hobby: I see only pines and spruces every day, so I had to make pines and spruces on my vest.

I used the z-twist yarn, because I had read it would be good for crochet. I found that it is actually the opposite… it twists more than normal yarn and become entangled quicker!

2017.04.22. Today I have got it back! The vest, together with the other winning contributions, has been exhibited in Tokyo and Osaka, and has now found its way back to the north of Sweden…
