This was probably the first sweater I seriously obsessed about. The pattern came out around the time I started knitting. I bought yarn for it a few months later and then….. never made it!

This is a great pattern. The waffle stitch pattern was fairly easy to memorise, and the shaping instructions were easy to follow.

I was stupid and didn’t measure my guage/tension until I was about half way through the sweater. It’s ended up being a bit larger than I would have liked. I also made the sleeves too long - the cuffs are folded back in the photos.

Other than that it fits me OK, although if I made it again, I’d figure out a way to put some waist shaping in. The straight body doesn’t really do my shape any favours.

Although it took me nearly 6 months to finish, I was knitting a lot of other things at the same time, and I had break of several months without doing any knitting on it at all.
