Am pretty sure I found an error in this patter. At the beginning of Rounds 2-7 it says ‘3 ch’ but these are DC and it leaves big holes if I ch 3, so I started to ch 2 instead and it is working much better. Will go back and sew the hole shut. Ain’t gonna frog all this! Will be making many more bags for Christmas gifts!

1/20/2013: Finished! I added about 3 extra rows in the middle (accidentally but I am glad I did it) and made the handles longer and added two extra rows to width of the handle and top - which it needed, otherwise the handles would be WAY too skimpy.

And in fact, that is my main criticism of this pattern, it is really too small to be practical as a shopping bag, which it is supposed to be. It will be easy to make it bigger, wider, deeper, stronger, better! Will make more :-)
