Bought this yarn specifically with a friend in mind while visiting Venice in December. The beautiful bright red (her favorite color) and the soft cashmere drew my attention and I wanted just the right pattern. The cables on these mittens were just what I wanted! The recipient loves her mittens and I love how they turned out.

01-08-2017

Not quite getting gauge so added 4 stitches to gain width and otherwise following pattern. Started thumb gusset at 2” and started top decreases on 16th round of A.x. For thumb gusset increases until had 15 stitches and then only picked up 2 stitches when knitting thumb.
