Loved the construction of this pattern, though I adjusted the actual execution to fit a Kindle Paperwhite and my own preferences.

Cast on 40 stitches as per pattern, LOVE the magic cast-on she recommends, a great new technique to learn and perfect for the bottoms to e-reader and tablet covers without any increases.

Changes:
Only knit the cable pattern on the front, left the back in plain stockinette, and somehow an additional stitch slipped in during cast-on, so the back has 21 stitches in stockinette, and the front has 20 stitches in the cable pattern. I also adjusted the cable pattern to repeat every 7th row for more elongated cables (7 repeats was just about the perfect length).

The Kindle Paperwhite (6.7” x 4.6”) measures smaller than the older, keyboard Kindle, so I used a size 7 US needle to help bring the size down. I don’t know that this was necessary as the cozy fits very snugly and I would have preferred possibly an additional 2-4 stitches to give a bit more room with the size 7 needles, especially in this non-stretchy yarn.

Also, I left off the button flap. Did one row of ribbing and then cast off in pattern to keep the kindle in place, as this way the Kindle and cover are pretty streamlined for putting into my tiny purse.
