I’ve loved the look of Pei since I first spotted it, the lacy cowl in a beautiful, warm, neutral color. When I spotted this caramel alpaca Pei was the first pattern to come to mind, and I had to unite the two.

This became my fun holiday project, as I was able to concentrate on the lace while relaxing at the Lorca Parador.

All finished and the final measurements are a few inches longer, but the height is right around 5 inches. This yarn is beautiful and so soft, so is definitely worth fighting the splitting and fuss to get it to cooperate in making nupps.

My only wish is that I’d have put in some anti-roll protection along the cast on edge, something I should have thought of for the alpaca sub.
