Because of this significant difference I blocked my Hane on the needles when I was about half way.
Love the feel and drape of the Kalinka in the finished garment (so much that I knitted another top with it), but it is extremely unforgiving. Even the smallest mistake or tension change shows up. And with all those short rows there were plenty…

Mods

• Knitted in the round

• For folded hem provisional CO for body and sleeve

• CO for the smallest size (188 st), did waist shaping decreases as per pattern, did inc on both sides instead of on one side only to make some boob room (214 st)

• Because of that did some fiddling with the numbers for armhole/neck shaping

• For the sleeve CO 68 st, followed instructions for that size

• Applied I-cord before adding the ruffle
