One day, when I was working on the sample for the Neil A. pattern, I caught Mr. M. looking in the mirror while holding the almost finished sweater in front of him.
When he saw me, he grinned sheepishly, and said ‘I would totally wear this’.

My heart melted.

The only appropriate thing to do was to buy more yarn (no complaints here), manify the pattern (easier said than done) and knit (why oh why are man sweaters always so BIG? Even if the man in question is not?).

I changed the pattern almost completely. What I did, basically, was import his body measurements and preferences in the spreadsheet I used for grading the pattern. This resulted (among other modifications) in a smaller neckline, modified arm colorwork and V-shaping instead of waist shaping.

So i guess now is the time to steal the show in our matchy-matchy Neil A. (and B.) sweaters :)
