I love the repeating leaf motif in this beautiful doily design! It has some tricky spots, but these more complicated doilies are great for crocheters who are ready for the challenge of advanced patterns.

The photos with superimposed stitch diagrams are very helpful for quick reference. You may not even need to read the pattern!

Whew, all those popcorns on round 3 were a little hard on the hands, coming so early in the doily, when there’s not much to hold onto. The results look nice, though.

In round 40, I realized that I made a mistake all through round 39. The middle group of dc should be 3 dc, but I made them all 4 dc. Rather than ripping back, I’m just working the (bpdc, ch2, bpdc) of round 40 around the two center dc of the previous round. It seems to be working out ok and will save me a pretty good chunk of time. As much as I’ve enjoyed making this doily, I’m ready to finish it!
