I’m making this square for my “Be of Good Cheer” Samplerghan. :o)

I’m not using purple in this afghan, so this isn’t really a lavender blossom (and thus the name doesn’t make much sense). The pattern does make a pretty flower, though.

The part where I followed the pattern was fine. When I started adding my own rows (to reach the desired block size), however, something went wrong. It’s not awful, and I think that when it’s attached to more blocks and washed, it’ll even out… but at the moment, it has a tendency to curl at the corners. Even as it is, a little strategic pulling makes a big (temporary) improvement.

35 sts per side on last round (counting each center st of corner twice).
