Notes

I extended the motif by four rounds to make it larger. That seems to have worked out-- no rippling or cupping.

Using “kitchen cotton” yarn to make… something… for the kitchen.

Originally, they were meant to be pot scrubbers/mini dishcloths. But I don’t really like crocheted pot scrubbers made of cotton (acrylic is better, imho), so I think I’ll make these a little larger (or maybe join multiple motifs) and use them as pot holders. Not as things to protect hands from hot pots, but as a layer of protection between hot dishes and the stove/counter-top. (The holes in most crochet isn’t ideal for hand protection, because fingertips have a way of poking through. Works fine as surface protection, though.)
