Using a chart I found with no attribution. I think it’s from a Japanese source, but I have no idea which one or the name of the pattern or designer…

Just happened to find the pattern (in Ravelry’s suggestions of patterns I might like!) and recognized it as this one, so now I know what it is!

Note to others interested in crocheting this doily: Mine ruffled for a long while, during crocheting, but it blocked out flat.

This doily feels like it’s taking forever. I really don’t enjoy making these open, “meshy” doilies with tons of chain spaces-- though they are sometimes pretty to look at. I think this one will look very nice when it’s done, but I don’t ever want to make this pattern again.

I ran out of thread on the last round, even though I was using a (dye-lot-matching) remnant from a previous project. So I ripped back and simplified the final round to be sure I’d have plenty of thread.

Blocking worked wonders. It’s a pretty doily, but I still don’t want to make it again. It felt like it took soooo looooong.
