I’ve decided to start another granny square afghan. I enjoy making them and find them an effective way to use up scraps from other projects.

I’m using worsted/aran acrylic yarn in a variety of brands-- just whatever I have left over in my stash that I don’t deem worth saving for another project.

This will probably be a long project that goes in and out of hibernation depending on how long the scraps hold out, what other projects come along, and how many granny squares I can crochet before I need a break.

I’m starting with a few “seeds” left over from my previous granny square afghan. There were a couple handfuls of squares that I didn’t include because I didn’t want the hot pink in that afghan or because the third round was a dusty blue that didn’t have enough contrast with my chosen joining color (grey).
