Some patterns you just enjoy crocheting more than others, for whatever reason. This one has a couple of “doozy rounds” and probably wouldn’t qualify as one of my very favorites for “process crocheting”.

I do like the way the doily is turning out, though, and I think it would be interesting to make it in a variegated thread (Miss Alize Batik, for example), so maybe someday…

There was a flaw in the first ball of thread, so since I had to cut the thread anyway, I went ahead and started the second ball. However, after winding the remnants of the first ball, I thought it looked like quite a bit was left, so it might have been possible to get the whole doily from one ball…
