Notes

For my Whispers of Spring Sampler.
Using the Canada Goose block border.

Pretty pattern with an intricate “overlay” look that isn’t really all that difficult to crochet. Would make a very pretty stained-glass-style afghan.

My block turned out fairly dense and heavy-- a little stiff. A slightly larger hook might have yielded a softer fabric, but that’s turning out to be true for at least a few other blocks for this sampler afghan. Next time, I’ll probably go up to a 4.5 or 5 mm hook. I think washing will soften it up, though.

Changed the last couple of rounds to get it to a size to match my other sampler squares.

I plan to add an improvised crocheted disc over the lacy center of the block-- partly to work in one or two more of the sampler colors and partly because I’m avoiding larger, lacy “holes” in this afghan, as much as possible.
