Notes

These dish scrubbers are fun to make when you want something that requires little attention. Instant gratification (or as instant as knitting gets, for us slow-pokes).

I’m starting with some vintage acrylic in the rainbow variegated colorway that is (for whatever reason) named “Mexicana”. If I get through this skein and still feel in the mood to make tribbles, I’ll move on to another skein in a different colorway.

(It turns out that I did keep making more tribbles. The second skein I used was one I got unmarked, but it must be Red Heart’s “Bon Bon Print” colorway.)

I got 6 scrubbers out of a 3-ounce skein of yarn, with a leftover ball that is too small to make another whole scrubber.

Before I started to stitch them closed, I located several unfinished tribbles from a previous tribble-making phase. I went ahead and finished all of them, a few at a time.

I have a good number of them stashed away, now. (They’re nice extra to toss in with gifts.) I think I’ve had enough tribble-making for a while. They are a great no-thought-required project, though, and eventually I’ll probably make another group of them from the variegated acrylic yarn I already have on hand.
