I started out using fingering weight yarn from Knit Picks Palette. It is a wonderful yarn, but as you can see from the image, not appropriate for the size I needed! I had to make this a larger glove for a man, and therefore went up a couple of needle sizes to achieve that goal. However, I have a lot of the blue yarn showing through, my stitches are really uneven, and it is not as large as I needed it. I was very disappointed in my work, not the yarn or the pattern. I switched up to a sport/dk weight yarn that seems to be working up better!

The pattern chart is a little difficult to read. There are no guidelines for every 10 stitches, so having to count the boxes makes my eyes cross. But it is a good pattern and I am enjoying making the mitt. It is my first go at a Vikkel braid too, which I like.
