NOTES
I used the central flower from the Sac Fleurs pattern for the motifs and joined them with dc and almost circular motifs that i made up as I went along, using grey 4 ply yarn. I squared off the edges then added the Turkey Stitch wool tufts using leftover DMC tapestry yarns. I chose to line the bag with quite a thick black wool felt because I wanted to add stability and strength to the bag as it’s quite large.

⭐If you want to try your hand at adding turkey stitch tufts to a project, it’s really easy to do and you can find lots of good tutorials on YouTube.

I added the handles this morning and it’s finally finished. So happy with this shopper that I might have to go out shopping just to show it off…..and maybe buy yarn.

19.05.18
The only thing left for me to do is attach the handles. The cat slept on the bag and squashed all the tufts so I will have to ‘fwoof’ them up again.
Note to self: Don’t leave your crochet around where the cat can get at it. cat

Both sides of the bag are tufted, now to join it all together, square off the top, line it and attach the handles……. actually that’s still rather a lot to do isn’t it? smile

10.05.18
I bought a pair of Scheepjes bag handles for my bag and I’m really pleased with them, very soft and pliant for a non leather material. All motifs made, just the joining to do now. I also decided to make silk and woollen tufts in between the motifs using turkey stitch. Fingers crossed i haven’t forgotten how to embroider.
