I added buttonholes instead of the snaps and I added pockets. I got gauge with size 10 1/2 needles even though the pattern called for size 9. I almost always get gauge when I use the yarn and needles called for, but with this pattern I had to use larger needles.

I bought 14 skeins because I made it a little longer. Had three left over. I am modeling this in over 90 degree heat!

I am going to add snaps on the lower front (below the buttons - waist area) so when it is cold and windy the coat doesn’t fly open. I also need to block the lower front a little bit more.
