UPDATE, JUST NOW GETTING BACK TO WORKING ON THIS, THERE IS A PATTERN ERROR FROM THE CRAFTSY CLASS, HERE IT IS, THE PATTERN AT THIS TIME HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED.

INSTRUCTOR Caddy Melville Ledbetter Hey knitters! YOu may have noticed a mistake in the pattern here. Depending on the size you are making, you don’t actually want to increase 1 stitch because you won’t get the correct number of stitches after. I’m working on getting a corrected pattern, but in the mean time, here are the corrections for each size: Size XS/S: no correction Size M: decrease 1 stitch in center of row instead of increase (this way you end up with the 111 stitches you are supposed to have and not 113) Size L: decrease 3 stitches evenly over the next row (again, to get the 121 stitches you need, instead of the 125 you would get if you increase) Size XL: no correction Size 2/3 XL: decrease 1 instead of increase Size 4/5 XL: No correction

STARTED to swatch again because I had put it down, using different yarn as well, Lionbrand heartland, got swatch, matched perfectly.

I am still debating to make the pattern in once peice, I know Caddy from Craftsy class reccomended that I peice it together, but, I really suck at sewing it together. But, Caddy shows great detail in the class. I am an experienced knitter, but will do anything to avoid the a hand stitches, same thing in my sewing studio. lol.

As of Feb 6, 2018 on Craftsy there has been another amendment to this pattern. see photo most recent version is updated on my project.

May 25, 2018

getting back to pattern, been busy, decided to make the large version in pieces to seam together, making sleeves long, because I have very long arms,…

6/4/2018

finished back, both sleeves and working at the same time my fronts.

06/08/2018/

finished with the sweater before blocking, did a test run, I am not liking the width of the sleeves on the top.. not sure what I am going to do, I may go down a size on the sleeves, just feel they are way to wide.

Finished sewing band onto sweater, on ribbing bottom one for one seaming done to ribbing, on sweater body, 6 stitches of 1 x 1 ribbing to 8 stitches of sweater basket stitch, all the way up to neck edge, returned to 1 to one seaming, on left front same as right front body and bottom edge ribbing, us 6 for 1 x 1 ribbing, still looks floppy, but better then us 7 needle, which was way sloppy and floppy looking.

Making sleeves in size med. did first set of sleeves in large and way to big and too short, I did my schematics and my length from neck bone to wrist bone is 33 inches long. Half of neck on schematic was 3.75 and side seam joining front to back for me was 9.25 total of 13 minus 33 is going to leave me at a 20.5 inch sleeve for my long skinny arms.

That being said did the math for my schematics, 4 inches in ribbing on us 7 needle, add one stitch 47 start increases on row 3 of pattern, then 16 times increase every 5th row, then 8 times increase every 6th row. 130 rows of basket stitch then bind off. Length of body of sleeve with be 16.5 plus my ribbing, total of 20.5, will be 19 inches wide, but will join to sweater at 10 inches below seam line in front and back of sweater. That is the third time, I knitted the damn sleeve, Just way to big for my liking in the sleeve.

Finished both sleeves, blocking out sweater for seaming. Watching the CRAFTSY CLASS WITH CADDY, going over the correct way to seam a sweater together.

Hopefully after blocked, I can try to seam sweater together, I hate seaming, why always do it in the round, but something I need to learn to do the right way to enjoy the sweater, and wear it not looking wonky.

SEAMING…. aughhhhhh….. challenge for me, reason took this class, I need to challenge myself and get out of comfort zone.. Frustrated, had to rip out my seams, puckered up too tight, not right, try try again, Hopefully I can get these seams to look nice. I have always changed the patterns to knit in the round, because my very first sweater was seamed and hated it and still have it and still hate it, because the seaming was very unprofessional. That being said, I am seaming with short threads, that way in the event, it looks horrible, I have to just pull it out, as I have done three times now,…. take a break and reblock sweater pieces, maybe later today, it will turn out. Watching the video again to see what I am missing.

Finished, I have made the pockets, but at this time, do not feel they are necessary for the function in which I will use it.
