Update: 8/15/2010 In loving memory of Grandma Ortega, she only got to where this one, she passed away today.
7/06/2011: Size XS
Cast on two yarns held together, size 7 mm, switched to 11 one row, then switched to 13 to work shrug. To get a nicer sleeve look, after k2tog and p2tog, I did five rows of us 13 12 rows of 11 back to us 13 for ten rows, back to 11 for 12 rows, then back to us 13 to finish shrug. Did middle peice to 18 inches, to give bigger arm opening, and the k2 p2 both at 9 inches. Arm opening will be 9 “ once i sew it up tonight.
After this got blocked it did grow alot. So, this yarn for my knitting note and the way I knit to make sure knit one size down. Note to self.
Was thinking to myself while knitting this, would be nice to have a schematic layout, so in the fact and ability to adjust pattern to fit. One size does not fit all.. lol… My pattern is a new release, but the small is still too big for grandma, who is the Birthday recipient of this shrug.
Done in time for her Birthday party tomorrow. Block and dry. Looks Great will post finished pictures. Would really love to figure out the size for me. 18 across shoulders 40 bust, but my back length is 19. I have a long body.
update: Grandma loved sweater, but she had a hard time trying to figure out how to put it on. Looks great on her and fits good.
THIS WOULD BE A GREAT PROJECT FOR A BEGINNER.
