ordered from Webs on 6/2/10, two skeins of silk and wool fiber; 60% Baby Kid Mohair, 40% silk

This fiber has a tendency to split because of the metallic sheen. It is the first lace weight that I have worked; very fine, although it was plied (see picture above compared to width of a dime).

Also, I believe the hanks contain MUCH more than 285 yr/skein as I am not even half through with the first hank and have about 70% of the shawl completed…
