If you’re not normally a gauge checker, I would highly recommend doing so with this pattern. I’m usually dead-on with whatever needle size they call for and I ended up having to go up 2 needle sizes.

Depending on your choice of cast-on, you may need 3 needles, not just 2 (e.g. Judy’s Magic Cast-On or Figure 8 cast-on).
