Notes

I loved my first Sonnenblume, but I’ve parted with it. It is going to a wonderful nurse, who helped some very special to me people get through a very difficult time.

Sooooooo now I have to cast on another one:)! I have this crazy desire to use Sunflower colors. Brown/black for the seeds, simi-solid yellow for the petals, and green for the leaves, with a darker green for the outer edge. Am I getting too crazy with the colors???? or is this a really cool Idea?!?!?!?!

It’s Decided…. It is a cool Idea and I will knitting up a sunflower colored Sonnenblume!

May 1st 2013. Started by handpainting the Bam Huey fiber. Doing this in 2 skeins because of the way I want to change over from yellow to green. I’m on a bit of a gradient binge lately and I just HAD to play some more:)

May 4th: Yarn is spun, washed and hanging to dry!
May 4th evening….in the 80’s today so hung the yarn outside to dry and was able to cast on tonight!
