Notes

When I first heard about making a cushion for the Olympics, I said I wasn’t going to do it because I didn’t think I would have time but somehow I found myself signed up to do it!
The yarn was donated and fairly itchy-I’m a bit worried that the luck athlete who gets my cushion might get a rash if they use it but maybe their face is a lit rougher and tougher than my hands ;)
I decided I would have a go at knitting stripes, threading the yarns up the side as I had never done it before so just did a plain back, striping the yarns then for the front I did a basket-weave stitch.
I crocheted the cushion together with double crochets, again, something I have never done. I was that pleased with myself that I did another round in yellow…not convinced that that looks as good though so I might pull it down yet.
All ready to be stuffed next Sunday now!
