When I heard my best friend had breast cancer I wanted to knit her something really nice, like a shawl, and I wanted to make it in green; bright, happy, the colour of hope.
I had a more grass green in mind at first, but this colour kind of grew on me and she loves it.

I knit the shawl with the yarn doubled. Maybe I should have made it with a single strand instead so it would be a lot bigger, but as it is it turned into a nice shoulderette and I’m fairly happy with the end result.

I hope she will enjoy it for many years to come.
