For easier knitting, so you never have to redistribute sts;
CO 119, Needle 1 - 40sts, needle 2 - 40sts, needle 3 - 39sts.
yo’s will be placed at the end of a needle (and in the middle), but not at the beginning, this means you don’t need to redistribute sts.
Row 1: K all sts, yo at end of needle 3.
Row 2: * PK2tog, k17, yo,* repeat 6 times.
Row 3: * PK2tog, k16, yo,* repeat 6 times.
Row 4: * PK2tog, k15, yo,* …
* PK2tog, K1, yo,* repeat 6 times.
* SSK, K1,* repeat 6 times.
* SSK,* repeat 6 times.
As others have said it should be 31 hexagons to be symmetrical.
Added a round of single crochet around the outside edge to give a nice firm edge for blocking.
Finally finished April 2016, this sat untouched in my WIP box way too long. It’s beautiful now it’s finished.
