Fly agaric (the white-spotted red mushrooms) are considered good luck in my maternal family’s culture (Eastern European), and frequently appear in Christmas/New Year decorations (along with little pigs.) When I saw this pattern, I knew I just had to make a series of them for family members ^.^ So cute!

As a side note, I hate working with this yarn, it makes my finger SO sore, especially with as much tension as amigurami require, but it’s so very cute in the finished project!

Finished the first sprite, the largest size. Took six days, but, more than half of that was spent waiting for various bits to arrive (the glass beads, the safety eyes, the needle-felting kit for the spots…)

I think the rest I will do in the medium or small size, so they definitely won’t take as long. I don’t know if I can cover the whole family, but probably at least most.

Second mushdood down. Medium with arms.

I had to take a bit of a break for my hands, but I finished the third mushdood, a small with the conical cap.

01-11-2020

I completed all of those I aimed for - the large, 2 medium, 3 small (one conical with arms, one conical without arms, and one spherical), and one of the cojoined twins. Unfortunately, I finished the last one already late to lunch on Christmas day, and forgot to take pics of the last few because of it. >.<
