Finished the squares and started the joining. I am using a continuous 5 chain flat braid join instead of the one suggested in the pattern. I got only 9 squares per skein using a 5 mm hook, but my squares are about a cm bigger too :)

All done! I did the 5 chain continuous flat brain join, inspired by Paojava’s Amazing Bohemian Oasis project. After this I just made up my own edging, consisting of 4 dc in every regular 5 chain, two times 2 trc in the side joins and 3 dc - 2 ch - 3 dc in the corners.
It’s very nice and drapes well, though the colors refuse to be captured on camera. It measures about 110 by 180 cm in total.
