Notes

I modified the pattern to a vee neck and used the body shaping from the pattern. I began the rounds arbitrarily on the side instead of within the pattern and it worked. It’s a lovely fit and I enjoyed the pattern. I made it long enough to cover my back with lower jeans. I did 4 pattern repeats in the front. At some point, I skipped one row in the back so both front and back patterns were on the same row.

I still have City Tweed leftover from the Portland Tweed Jacket and it comprises my stash except for fleece. I made a calorimetry and a penguin. Now it’s time for a vest.

Ah, I worked out a v-neck. When I went back to work on the front pieces, i increased the 26 pattern stitches every other row rather than add them all on at the end. because i waited, the straps are straight and then taper and look nice. i think I will add one pattern repeat to lengthen the vest. I like the body shaping.

Now I have to think about how I will finish it, garter stitch or i-cord. I cord worked fine around the “v”.

Darn, I didn’t read the pattern clearly and I added too many increases and then completed another pattern repeat. Froggggeeeeddd back to before increases and away we go.
