Notes

Doing this 2AAT Magic Loop is a breeze! The pattern is simple and easy to memorize.

On the initial set up, you have to move one stitch from one side to the other near the beginning; I just slipped that stitch onto a stitch marker and grabbed when I went past on the other side.

Cast on 70 stitches. At the gusset, decreased to 32 stitches on the sole; there are 30 stitches on the instep.

Sort of messed up the toe area. I forgot that I had 40 stitches on one side and only 30 on the other. Did more decreases on the 40 stitch side until they were even, then continued decreasing every round for the round-toe look.

The yarn is very stretchy and lovely.

05/17/2011. Documenting how well the yarn is holding up after repeated machine washing and drying (mostly air drying, but occasionally through the dryer, too).

The soles are getting slightly felty; you can see in the photo that there are areas of fading where the felting is happening. A very small amount of pilling, too. Still, very comfortable socks and they remain favorites of mine!
