12/21/12 did not bring the end of the world…but it did bring the end of this sweater - ugh!

Another DROPS pattern? Seriously…I love the looks! So here we go again!

Planning to use the mods MiniRobe used when she knit this sweater. I think that simplifying the lace by working fewer of the patterns is a good idea. Also, I like her button placement… where the diamonds are at their widest point. Yeah, I’m taking that, too. I may do the diamonds the same on the sleeves, rather than the allover eyelets?

I’ve been wanting a simple, kindof neutral, light sweater for several seasons, and now it’s gonna happen. I’m hoping this yarn is against-the-skin soft, I have heard that it is…so I can also wear this over just a tank in the spring/summer, to ward off the chill of the AC. It will be nice to have a companion sweater to the baseball sweater, which got really tired really fast when I finished it this year!
