Most of my skeins are the same dye lot (71060), but there are 3 that are different. I’m saving those for sleeves and such, just in case there’s a big difference in the lots. Or maybe I’ll do the front all in that lot, if the back takes less than 3 skeins? I mean, they are the same taupe in a totally solid color, so unless there’s an obvious stripe, I’m thinking it won’t matter too much.
I cast on as directed in the pattern for the large size, knit 4 rows and thought, “This is NOT a large! It’s way too big!” So, I ripped that out and cast on for the medium…much better! On the smaller needle, I went 20 rows before switching to the body of the sweater.
I knit the back to 104 rows (17”) before decrease row. With dec row at 1, knit 66 rows before binding off at 9.5”.
On the front, knit first 104 rows, as for back…then 44 rows to shoulder/neck split.
For collar, I picked up 100sts, then knit 8 rounds 2x2 rib. Bind off in pattern.
For sleeves, I picked up and knit 94sts for 16 rounds, then dec 2sts at underarm, every 4th round 21 times. Continued knitting to 106 rounds, then switch to smaller ndls, increasing 4 evenly on round 107, working 2x2 rib 24 rounds and bind off.
