I have knit this pattern before, so I know it will go quick! Since I’m working with worsted yarn, here are my mods:

tubular cast on 36, 1x1 rib for 14 rnds.
Work pattern once, starting thumb gusset with a single m1 on rnd 8. Inc every other rnd until there are 15 thumb sts. Work 1 addtl rnd, then place thumb sts on holder.
Continue in pattern until 4 pattern reps are completed (32 rows between ribbings, including thumb increases).
6 rounds 1x1 rib at top of hand, and tubular bind off.
Put 15 thumb sts on a needle and knit around, picking up 1-2 extra sts at thumb saddle. Work 2 rounds, decreasing total sts to 14 as you go, then 1x1 rib 6 rounds and bind off to finish thumb.
