Cuff: Cast on of 48, and worked 48 rounds 2x2 rib.
Hand: Continue in rib, work 4 rounds, adding a stitch for thumb on rnd 3. Increase thumb to 17+2, transitioning to 2x2 rib as you go, place 17 on holder.
After thumb setup, 2x2 rib 24 rounds. Bind off loosely.
Thumb: pick up 3 extra sts, knit knits and purl purls 16 rnds.
