Thumb - pick up 3 extra sts, knit 2 rnds plain, 2x2 8 rnds.

Smaller pair will start with a cast on of 40, and 40 rounds k2p2 rib!
Work 4 rounds st st, adding a stitch for thumb on rnd 3. Increase thumb to 15+2, place 15 on holder.
After colorwork, 1 rnd plain, 2x2 rib 12 rounds.
Thumb - pick up 3 extra sts, knit 1 rnd plain, 1 dec rnd, 2x2 6 rnds
