Notes

05.25.15 - Well, in the interest of knitting only what I love, I am frogging this. The yarn is lovely, and I love the theme…but I’m just not loving how it knits up in this gauge. Perhaps it will become mitts, or something else someday, but for now, I’ll just rip it, rip it, rip it… :)

Original notes:
So, I cast on a shawl so I’d have knitting for an event, then I knit, and I knit, and I knit some more, until I doubted there would be enough shawl left for that event!

Solution? Socks, of course! I cast on plain, vanilla socks in yarn inspired by my favorite painting by Vincent…so I will knit my feet in blue and gray, look out on a(n almost) summer’s day, with eyes that know the knitting in my soul!

Cast on 64 sts, 2x2 for 12 rounds, knit leg to 80 rounds.
Heel on 32 sts…which kindof heel???
Foot to 72 rounds, decrease to 10+10 and kitchener.

I knit 52 rounds, and realized I don’t want this as socks. What to do? Start a thumb…lol! And I did, increasing every other round, until I had xx thumb stitches…
