Making up for a baby sweater I never got around to, before the kid’s little sister arrives! Like a little man’s sweater, using owl cable motif. Still working out details, but here’s where I started:

Cast on 44+86+44, and 2x2 rib for 12 rows.
Set up row: k2, p14, k28, k36, p14, k36, k28, p14, k2.
Work row 2 to mirror set up row, then work owl motifs in the p14 sections.
Continue owl motifs at button band edges, adding two purl rows between owls. Just one motif at center back.
Continue with Knitting Fool sweater instructions, maintaining owls on front edges.
Separate fronts from back on row 7 of the 4th owl motif.
Starting on row 9, decrease 1st at neck edge on odd rows 15 times.
Knit until armhole is a total of 48 rows.
On back, leave 30 live sts for collar.
2x2 rib 12 right rows for collar/button band.
Sleeve: Cast on 52, knit in round, 2x2 for 12 rounds.
Inc every 8 rounds, knit a total of 92 rounds before sleeve cap shaping. (13, 21, 29, 37, 45, 53, 61, 69)
